The Bad Mouse Orchestra
Welcome back!
The Bad Mouse Orchestra brings the swing sound of the 1920s and 30s back to life. Sometimes casual and cheeky with knickerbockers and a flat cap – sometimes elegant in classic clothing of the time – they recall the sound of the small, hidden bars and salons where shimmy and Charleston were danced late into the night. In their program “DRUNK WITH LOVE” they look back at a brief heyday of queer culture between the world wars, which came to an abrupt end at the beginning of the 1930s. In addition to American jazz classics and long-forgotten pieces, they also bring back ostracized and banned songs.
They play on instruments that are sometimes as old as the songs themselves.
The Bad Mice have played twice before at the Czech Ukulele Festival and have remained a firm favourite with everyone involved.
