I was born in the summer of 1979 and from the early age of ten I got quite well with guitar and my mother tongue, Czech language. I wrote songs and went through a few bands. But contrary to my childhood plans, I did not become an actor or a marine biologist. I studied screenplay at Film academy in Prague and after school I wrote a screenplay for the film Restart and started the comic series Comeback. 

I fulfilled my dream only afterwards, I released my first music record. And it was successful, so I started being a Xindl as a full time job. Since then, I've released five studio records, released over twenty clips, and played over eight hundred concerts with a diverse line-up of great musicians. During that time, I collected four gold records and one platinum, nine nominations for an angel, a jumper of the year in Český slavík, several OSA awards and awards at Porto and the Songwriters' Garden.

I also wrote one book, one play, music for one musical and lyrics for another. And especially many lyrics or music for other musicians, such as the bands Slza or The Tap Tap, singers Sebastian, Pavel Callta, Voxel, Michal Hrůza, Richard Müller or David Deyl and singers Ewa Farna, Olga Lounová, Alžběta Kolečkářová, Monika Absolonová, Tereza Kerndlová or Gabriela Gunčíková.

Now I'm starting my tenth season and I'm looking forward to what it will bring!
