Ukulelezaza needs no introduction in the worldwide ukulele scene, he’s been a firm festival favourite since day one of the ukulele revival that started around 2006. Exactly forty years ago, growing up in a musical household, he got his first banjolele as a birthday present. Zaza’s mother Thea did regular gigs in the 80s and 90s playing banjolele and ukulele and singing jazz and Hawaiian music. Thea will join her son on stage at this year’s Czech Ukulele Festival and it gets better yet… they will also be joined by Zaza’s 13 year old daughter Dixie on violin and ukulele! Rumour has it even Zaza’s son might join in for a tune or two…
